Your exceptional NuVision display has been a long time coming. Years of research and development have led to extraordinarily high performance and value. We also invest considerably more hours than competitors in meticulously manufacturing our displays and preparing them for shipping. This means that when you purchase a NuVision, we’ve already put the time in to perfecting it. No wonder people can’t wait to switch it on.
The inner workings.
In an LCD display, multiple rear light sources lay horizontally, stacked top to bottom. This light is flowed through several diffusers to make those many sources look like one common source. The light then hits on pixels. Every pixel is made up of 3 sub-pixels: 1 red, 1 green and 1 blue. Like a gate opening and closing to let water through, the color of each pixel is determined by how much of the rear light strikes each sub-pixel.
Evolution of the display.
Clearly not all LCD panels are created equal. Lucidium represents a new evolution in the concept based on NuVision’s Digital Switching Deep Black technology. Even when turned off, the screen is so strikingly black it has a dramatically rich presence like that of a fine furnishing.
Speed of sight.
The faster the response time, the quicker a pixel can display new information. NuVision LCD’s achieve super fast response times of 5ms. What this means in simple terms is that your Lucidium never falls behind the action. During fast moving sports and dynamic movie scenes, it remains crisp and sharp without any image lag or smearing.
Building a better picture.
Every screen image should appear crisp and distinct. Unfortunately, tonal portrayal found in lesser displays often allows elements to blur together. NuVision achieves its superior picture quality through exceptionally precise NiDO image processing and reproduction of colors throughout the spectrum. This requires rendering millions of different shades correctly, so that at any given moment, hue, brightness and contrast are all precise. As a result, even subtle details, such as shadows against darkness, show through with crystal clarity.
Gamma tuning.
To properly distribute hue and brightness across the color spectrum, gamma settings must be properly calibrated. Hundreds of hours of painstaking work by our engineers go into adjustments until a balanced gamma is achieved.

Piano Black Finish

Integrated Bottom Speaker
A true work of art contains everything within its frame. So it is with Lucidium, whose slim, low profile speaker integrates cleanly into the whole, adding little to the vertical dimension. In this way its excellent sound is clearly heard but largely unseen.
Final Touches
Lucidium panels are all finished in rubberized paint that is velvet to the touch. This includes the remote as well. So even your tactile experience is a pleasurable one.
Technologies.
NiDO (NuVision Intelligent Digital Optimization)
The NuVision NiDO circuit delivers a film-like home theater experience. Images appear crisp and edges show up clearly. NiDO’s advanced scaling algorithm brings all video formats to life at the highest resolution of the display, making even conventional DVDs and other media appear sharper.
DSDB (Digital Switching Deep Black)
NuVision DSDB dynamically adjusts the LCD backlight according to the imagery being displayed. This technology, in conjunction with NuVision Deep Black LCD panels, yields impressive contrast ratios resulting in incredible depth of field.
DCS (Deep Color Spectrum)
Select NuVision Deep Black LCD panels feature DCS technology which widens the color gamut of the display to expand the LCD color space. The result is brilliantly lifelike colors, many of which you may have never seen before, even when viewing familiar content.
NuColor x.v.
NuVision utilizes HDMI 1.3 inputs capable of 10.2 Gbps bandwidth which yields a true end-to-end 10bit color space containing 1.07 billion colors. Compared to the typical LCD display, with only 16.7 million colors, NuColor x.v. offers an exponentially superior color gamut.
NuControl (Integrated RS-232 Control)
NuControl makes custom integration easy. Every NuVision set includes our exclusive NuControl port. This enables you to stow your cable box out of sight, and do away with extra IR sensors stuck to your display. Functioning as your single IR receiver, your display connects it all, so you don’t have to bother with switching on multiple devices. It’s as simple as it is sophisticated.
Integrated installation.
NuVision integrates all elements of high-end custom installation. The NuControl interface allows full control of all the set’s functions via your choice of system, including Crestron and AMX touch screen panels. Your NuVision micro control system allows an external controller or programmable remote to operate the set's on-off functions independently of other products. The system control even provides direct access to the four picture aspect ratio controls, supporting instant viewing selection from your DVDs, High-Definition Cable or Satellite regardless of the picture format.
